Are there any know issues with using PHP 5 with UBB Threads version 6.5 or even 6.4.2?

We found a few issues, which are partially fixed. With one of the first versions of PHP5, there's an issue with any variable named $this. They fixed it in the latest PHP5 version, and we made changes as well. However, as there's still a little more work to be done, I would recommend waiting for 6.5.1 to upgrade to the latest of PHP5. <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Version 6.4.2 more than likely will not even install on a PHP5 server.

We're on UBB threads 6.5.2 and just tried upgrading to PHP5 - it gives us CGI timeouts. Any thoughts?

I have gotten PHP5 running fine now on the machine working with UBB 6.5.2. Their installer did not do a clean job, I had to manually edit some IIS settings.

IIS? So you're on a windows server? How's it running? I ran a windows 2k server with IIS for a few years - easy to setup and run if you pay attention <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
