I'm in the process of setting up a new board and am testing out the various features prior to going live. I tried to email myself to make sure that function works and I'm not receiving any email.

Is there somewhere in the configuration where I can specify the SMTP server to use for email? I know I was able to do this with UBB.Classic.

As a side note, the PM's seem to be working so it's just the function of verifying a new member's email and being able to email members that I can't seem to get to work.

Threads doesn't really have any mail settings itself, it uses the mail() function in PHP, so any mail settings would be in your PHP configuration (php.ini file).

There is one setting in threads to send email using the -f option. Some server require this, so you might try enabling that. Beyond that, look at your php configuration, and if it can send email. Server logs may help you locate any problems.
