UBB.threads PHP Forum Software Community Forums UBB.threads 6 Version 6 Support Upgrade from 6.4 to 6.5 - is it worth upgrading?

On one hand I'm really looking forward to the final release of 6.5.1 but on the other hand all negative posts about buggy 6.5 and the fact that this will be the last release makes me wonder if it's really worth upgrading.

My board is pretty modified and it would cost me a lot of time to upgrade it. Also my moderators are quite demanding when it comes to mod powers and I've read that this is something that has been changed drastically in 6.5.

Can anyone convince me WHY I should upgrade to this latest version? Besides the enhanced admin part, what is really so much better about the new version? (from your experience).

in 6.5.x are some security fixes for exploits.

Yeah, as Zarzal said. And we're not talking little... we're talking major security whole in 6.4.

I'm still waiting for the release of 6.5.1 which is out at the end of January (erm) and then it should be worth it. Hopefully most bugs will have been ironed out.

But remember, some potential bugs are better than your board being taken over by malicious users.
