6.5 has a built in import tool, you'll need the properl YAML file though. Charles talks about the yaml files here

You can find the YAML files at http://www.infopop.com/yaml/

We have one for 2.3.x and one for 3.0.x.

And check out the manual for more information on what you'll need to do as far as getting the data:

righto.
I must be doing something wrong.
It runs through the import process, says all is ok.
Go back to check the forums and nothing is there, it's still empty.

Make sure you're using 6.5.1. If you are, and it's still failing, please do open a support ticket. Thanks.

Ok, I've got my server admin on the case, and he's coming up against a wall.
He's getting errors when trying to dump from the database when using your listed command line in your documentation.

This is the error:
mysqldump: Got error: 1049: Unknown database '-u' when selecting the database

And this is the command:
mysqldump -u root -p -t -T , --fields-enclosed-by='"' --fields-terminated-by=',' db_name

So does mysqldump needs a different syntax with MySQL 4?

I looks like the mysqldump command is looking for a db name as the first argument:

mysqldump dbname -u root -p -t -T , --fields-enclosed-by='"' --fields-terminated-by=',' db_name

It thinks -u is the db name.
