UBB.threads PHP Forum Software Community Forums UBB.threads 6 Version 6 Support sessions in 6.5.1

Not to sound like a dumba%$ but in the upgrade to 6.5.1 it asked us to make a sessions directory, so we made a directory called sessions within the ubbthreads directory.

After the upgrade, I looked at things and didn't find the session listing in my control panel where I could configure this. Please help as I think I'm either blind, dilerious, or some combination of both

The sessions directory is used internal for tracking members to fix the nasty cookie bug in 6.5 (to big cookies). If you look to runtime in this directory with FTP you see active sessions. This have nothing to do with the session tracking for members wich can be activate in the control panel. Better you use cookies (with internal sessions).

The session directory can configured and tested under:
Control Panel, Primary Settings, General, Advanced Options and scroll down. One Step above of the session directory path you find the checkbox for handling. Better you leave this unchecked.

there it is... that's right... hey thanks man.. .

thanks for the advice, i'll leave it alone
