I am trying to figure out the best way to customize my header and footer for each category. I know I could add them per Forum, but that would be too difficlut to maintain. I have been trying to edit the header.php and footer.php files, but have found that footer.php does not inherit any variables I set in header.php. Anyone have any suggetions for the best way to accomplish this.

Thanks

The header and footer are included through different subroutines, which is why your variables disappear. Try setting things in the $GLOBAL hash instead, as that should be automatically present for both.

FYI, the new product has proper style options for both forums and categories, like Classic.
