Smells like a bug.

Untested fix - change line 88 of that script to read:

my($Number,$PPosted,$PUsername,$PIP,$PSubject,$PBody,$PAnon,$Pnumber);

Hi,
Thanks for your reply, i did what you suggested and this is what I got when I ran it:

Output from command /var/www/cellstreet.com/forum/cron/perl/subscriptions.pl ..

No output generated

Is this right? is it working if I get no output?

Kind Regards
Dave Askew

If there's no output, that's good. On the other hand, if no mails were delivered, that's bad.

Charles, could you tell me how it would be possible for me to test out the subscription cron without mailing all my users? I would like to start the cron taks, but the subscription email should only be send to me....

Any suggestion how I could do this?
(PS, not a lot of PHP knowledge here...)

Hi,
Yes i just subscribed to the forum and ran the cron job and it delivered me an email. So it's working, thank you very much.

One last thing, on the email, the first line says:

The following is a list of all posts for the past day on the forum 'Announcements'. The forum location is /ubbthreads.php

How can i change where it says the location of the forum is "/ubbthreads.php" to http://www.cellstreet.com/forum/ubbthreads.php

Thanks once again for your reply.

Kind Regards
Dave Askew

Pasqual - you can create a forum that only you have access to....sucbscribe....post in it a few times, then run the cron job to see what is output.

That is how I set a cron on each forum to make sure it is working properly. In recent history the subscriptions.php has been a bit borky either way...

Daemon - you'll need to edit the improperly named "cgiurl" variable in the w3tvars.pm file.
