Right now, no one can modify their profile, I can change thiers as the admin, but I can not even change my own going under my own steam.

I suspect rights have to be changed on a folder, but which one???

The profile info is stored in the database, so it shouldn't be a folder permissions issue.

What are they trying to change? If it's the Display Name, the admin can toggle that in Feature Settings: General tab "Allow Display Name Changes."

Otherwise, what happens when trying to change the profile? Is there an error message?

They can not even do things like change their password, or change their signature.

There also seems no way that an admin can change some ones password...

check to make sure that you do not have specific requirements in the profile section that they have left blank int here profile. I found that this was the case in most instances where users could not make profile changes.

that is the problem, their real name was blank in all of them for some reason..
