UBB.threads PHP Forum Software Community Forums UBB.threads 6 Version 6 Support URGENT: undelete or database merge

A users posts from our ubbthread's forum were accidentally deleted by an administrator. We have a backup of the database but unfortunately it's quite old. So... is it possible to undelete this user's posts, and if not it is possible to merge the user's posts from the database backup into the current copy of the database? If you are capable of doing this please email me at [][email protected][/] immediately to start work on this recovery process.

Thanks,

Unless your host has a more recent copy of your database, it will not be possible to recover what you deleted.

You could filter all your user's posts out of the old copy you have, extract those with SQL tags, and insert them into the current database, that should be no problem.

BUT - make a copy of your current DB first.

all posts from deleted user get the U_Number 0

restore the user .... back up needed

Then you can search this 0 and replace it with the Admin U_Number

AT FIRST DATABASE BackUP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stan,

The user was not deleted, just the users posts. Is it still possible to perform this type of operation?

To all others who read this thread if you can perform the requested operation please email me at [][email protected][/] with your rate and estimated time to completion.

Thanks,
