I have an old message board from 2001 when UBBThreads was called WWWThreads, and I want to transfer all users, posts, etc to the new board.

Both boards are up and running without problems, but I need help transferring tha data.

Is it even possible?

If not: Should I try to just transfer the user tables?

Should I start with a lot of "ALTER TABLE"-statements on the old board? Where can I find those?

You shouldn't need to transfer anything..... you are trying to make it very complicated when it's not... treat it like an upgrade.

Copy the new UBBThreads files to your existing wwwthreads directory. Do not overwrite main.inc.php, config.inc.php or theme.inc.php. Then run each altertable script (in the /install directory), from your current version to the last version which used altertables (6.4.1) then run the 6.5 upgrade utility (/install/upgrade.php) to complete the upgrade. All users and posts and data is preserved.

FYI you may not want to upgrade past 6.4.4 - post tracking has been very screwy and has not worked properly since that point.

You can wait for 6.5.2, which is currently in private beta testing.
