UBB.threads PHP Forum Software Community Forums UBB.threads 6 Version 6 Support New forums don't display on trial version??

I finally got the trial successfully installed, and I can access it and log in from another PC on a different network. I went into the Forum Settings in the control panel and created two forums. However, they don't show up when I click on the Main Index link.

I go in to look at the Details link for the forums, and then Forum Permissions, and it shows No Access for all groups. But the trial version doesn't allow me to change this.

Any ideas???

It's the trial. ALmost all of the control panel functionality has been removed. You can see features, and get a feel for how to work them, but most all features have been disabled. The purpose of the trial is for you to be sure that the product will install properly on your server.

We can't do any posts to test functionality when the forums don't show up on the Main Index page. We have to be able to present a minimally working model to a management group before they green-light moving forward.

You forgot to quote the very next line on that page, where it says you can look at the admin features and see if it will run on your server.

Your management group can't look at this board and see if they like it?

I don't mean to be troublesome, but what about the "50 total posts". How can we make one of those 50 posts if the forums don't show up?

Showing the managers this support board would be like showing parents a sample Photoshop multi-image composite using someone else's children: they just can't imagine it with their own kids' portraits. We have to give them a mock-up with THEIR topic categories.

Again, I believe from the way the trial is described on the site, we should be able to view a forum and make sample posts in it. The trial download page specifically says that the forum software will stop functioning after 30 registered members, 1000 page views, or 50 total posts.

I went so far as to do a reinstall, in a new MySQL database and everything. The test forums still don't show up from the Main Index or any other link I try.
