FYI: FireFox users can post messages, they just can't change any of their settings...

What is going on here??? Every new release seems to let out a new, huge bug. <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

No simple fix I take it?

Doubtful as there are other issues on here that show up in both Firefox and IE. I was able to make changed to my profile in firefox so it could be an intermittent type of thing.

Also, for some reason non of the ubb code links work. I've tried in both firefox and IE and the javascript seems to be busted.

That's nice it works in Moz, but they need to get the functionality back in for IE and Firefox. Something is broken and they don't seem in too big of a hurry to fix it.

I was able to change my settings without any difficulties (server time adjustment, etc.).

As for using the UBB code buttons, NONE of them work. <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

It would seem they don't want anyone to use the UBB Code buttons and don't care to fix them. Wonder why?

Then why don't they fix it? Simple question. It's insane to not do something to repair the software, especially on a site that's supposed to be a support forum.

I also can change my settings without problems.

What's that supposed to do? The problem is here, so why would they need to know my license number to fix a problem on this site? That just doesn't make sense.

This clearly is a general bug that applies to all users, not just a particular board. Would be good to see it fixed by the program authors, or maybe we could see a temporary solution posted by an advanced user who knows what code needs hacking. For all I know it might just be a few lines that need fixing?

On a side note will there be any more "official" updates to Threads or is everything now geared towards releasing the new product?

When exactly does this happen, with which script(s)?

FWIW I haven't had any Firefox issues with the forms so I'm not sure if the incident is not an isolated one. UBB code buttons don't work though...

Nope, I have no idea why IE would work fine and FireFox is broken -it doesn't make sense unless FireFox was stripping something out of the HTTP header that the script needed to determine if the form was valid...

In instant_markup.php

the entry for $ubbt_lang['ENTERURL2']

Near the end, you'll see:

title \"UBBCentral Homepage.\"";

change to:

title \\\"UBBCentral Homepage.\\\"";

Fixed the UBB Buttons for me.

interesting - thanks for the bugfix. Mine says something a little different, we must be using an older file and haven't gotten the bug. <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Doesn't work for me... I get this error message:

D:/JPFitness/threads/languages/english/instant_markup.php is not writeable. Please fix the permissions on this file and try again.

Where do I find those permissions to even fix them?
