UBB.threads PHP Forum Software Community Forums UBB.threads 6 Version 6 Support Installation caught in loop

On a Windows server. Trial version 6.5.1.1-trial Downloaded 1/17/06

I make it to step 6 and when I click on "creating the database tables" it goes right back to step 1. Everything is "Passed" in every step.

Never do I see a link to go onto creating an admin account.

Any ideas what is wrong?

so in short it will not let me create an admin account

Any Help?

the main.inc.php file needs to use paths, instead of URLs - for instance, /home/kate/domains/kate.com/public_html/ubbthreads

also, the first path ($thispath) is just the path to the ubb.threads installation itself (like my sample above), it's not the path to the install directory (the wording is a bit confusing). the second path should be to your /includes directory (like: /home/kate/domains/kate.com/public_html/ubbthreads/includes) where your config.inc.php is located.

I did get this one figured out but now have difficulties creating tables in the database. See my other message.
