My new message board has just gone online and one member cannot post. She has signed up and she can even send PMs but when she tries to post a message she gets the following error:



Does anyone know what the problem probably is?

ive deleted the cookies from both my pc and also on the messageboard

He probably has something like Norton Firewall running. If he can turn that off, or the url validation on the forums off that should cure the problem.

i have norton anti virus on but i cant see a firewall option on it

i still cant post and ive changed the settings in norton

Many people end up turning off the HTTP referer check, to accomodate those that don't know how to adjust the settings on their computer.

You can turn this off on your forum by adjusting the primary settings -> advanced options in the control panel.

The HTTP referer check was turned off (I think by default, but I'm not 100% sure) and I checked the box next to "Disable HTTP Referer Check?" now and it is working.
