Hello,

My friend is running a UBB.classic 6.3.1.1 board and is trying to figure out a mystery involving posts that were made by a member who should have been unable to post at the time due to a personal tragedy. I'm no UBB expert and it's fallen to me to try to piece together what may have transpired. As it appears now, two years later, the posts involved no longer appear to exist.

This implementation was probably as out-of-the-box as it can possibly get. Is there a means of recovering deleted items, or is there a history I can look at? I've logged into the admin interface but I"m not seeing anything.

Thanks in advance,

John

You could try rebuilding that forum's posts, they may re-appear. If they were deleted tho, they may just be gone. You could try the search indexes for that forum, but if it's been 2 years, it's possible that search indexes have been updated and removed references to old deleted posts.

You could also try the wayback machine through the internet archive, it's possible those topics have been indexed. Google may also have a copy in their cache.
