I have a content island setup on my board's main page at: www.full-auto.com

I set the content island to show what I thought were the 10 most recent posts. Currently the 10 displayed topics aren't even close to being the 10 most recent, and they don't appear to change/update when a new post is made in my "general discussion" forum.

Is my concept of what a content island is wrong? Shouldn't this island display the 10 most recent posts in my GD (which it is set for, not the entire board)?

In case you go look, I've been playing with the settings to see if it makes a difference.

I switched the forum that is't pulling data from to "Rifle Discussions" and reduced the number of topics to 5 (was 10).

The top 5 topics in the content island still do not accurately represent what's actually in the forum. It almost seems as if it's choosing the topics by random.

I just created a Test Topic in the forum it should be monitoring. The test topic appeared in the content island along with the apparently random 4 other topics.

When I deleted the test topic, it was still shown in the content island. When you click on the "test" post link in the content island, you're taken to the error page "topic does not exist" page.

This tells me it's not updating properly.

It almost seems like you are selecting latest TOPICS instead of POSTS.

Create a new Content Island and make sure you select the Second Option on the New Content Island screen. then set it up like your current one after the inital screen and see what it does for you.
