I would like to allow users to post images then include them for use on the bulletin board. I would like to restrict the upload ability to registered members....
Presently have the upload feature but getting spammed and don't want to take away a great feature of the site.
Anybody else doing this already? Help...please

Unless you allow unregistered users to post, they shouldn't be able to. I'd check your settings.

So this is the area I am getting spammed. I would like to tie the uploader to the bulletin board registration.

It is beyond my ability to do it.
The bulletin board itself isn't getting spammed...that is under control. But because of the image loader getting spammed it is effecting the freedom of the registered users on the BB.
I will have to turn the uploader off if it continues... <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Doesn't have a way to stop it before it happens...leaves me cleaning up the trash.

I would like to have the same type of account control over the uploader as I do the bulletin board.

I guess I am looking for a quality addon for my bulletin board.....ideas?

Have you thought about putting the link to the uploader in one of the access-restricted forums? I've been planning to add a file upload section, and that's how I'm going to do it.

I could hide it but that doesn't really fix the problem or solve the need. Is there a "Hack" for a uploader to integrate with the BB.

Cool features would be
a built in resizer to help users get it to the reduced size need of the board. (file size and dimmensions)
Easy admin features...ip, required email, ban lists, Preview ability for admin.
A gallery with catagories for users to browse or use on the site...need the ability to keep the ebay crowd from using it. (I love ebay but thats different)
If it was in php that would be even better!!

Slide show feature would be a nice feature

Then a button on the ubb that would automatically let them choose from the gallery would be sweet.

Would also need to specific type of file limiter (.gif or .jpeg)

There is a hack called Ely's upload hack. It isn't ported to 6.2 But has the begginnings of a excellent feature
