UBB.threads PHP Forum Software Community Forums UBB.classic UBB.classic 6 Support Unable able?

Can you give me a reason why my some of my new members can post new notes and others can not? I have tested it myself and I have no problem?

I do not have e-mail notification etc enabled and I cannot think of a reason?

Many thanks?!

What do the users get when they try and post? The most likely of them would be A) White page B) Blue page C) Error msg D) Banned msg.

This information would help. <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Hi

They get this:
Sorry, you do not currently have permission to post messages in this forum.

I don't know why tho' they don't have to be approved in the first place!

There is a moderate registrations setting - double check that it is off! <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

Check the posting permissions for each user reporting the problem and also the posting permissions in each forum effected. If this doesn't help, try rebuilding member stat files.

I have looked at his board with his permission, and it looks like some people have gotten banned somehow by default. Everything else is setup properly, so those individuals were unbanned. Hopefully that will be the end of that problem. Although it is strange.

Sinister was very helpfull, it was a strange one, I have had new members since and so far so good.

Thanks for the help
Jon
