Not quite sure where to put this....Something just came up and I need help!

Is there any way to automatically log someone out?

There are several requirements for members to get on my board and it's a big problem this person just registered. I've locked their profile, changed the password, and email address so they can't retrieve it. And you have to be logged in to view the board.

However, he's still browsing the board. Any way to zap him out now?

Any help would be muchly appreciated!

Yes, you can ban their IP number and that will prevent them from viewing the board at all. Note however that just because you see the person in a Recent Visitors list does not mean his still surfing your site (depends on what your Recent visitor settings are-- you can adjust how long it logs recent visitors).

So if I ban him by IP (he's on aol, and I really don't like banning aol ips for obvious reasons), I could do that for a few minutes until I know he's out....

I could unban that IP later, and then would he have to relog in, or would the cookie still stay and allow him to view the board even though I've changed all his info - password, and email addy?

What would be really nice is a way to log him out...??

I'll do the ip trick next time it happens though.....
