Ok folks, here it is .....

I would like to change the coding to allow me to place a header graphic across the top of the page, a menu down the left side, and have the actual forums on the right, similar to a 3 frame page setup.

I do NOT want to use frames. I am relatively familiar with perl, and am capable of altering the code IF I know where to start. I would appreciate a list of files that I would need to alter in order to accomplish my goal. I am using UBB 6.2.

Very close, however, I wish to use a header graphic that runs completely across the top 780 x 160 ... THEN have the menu on the left 170 x ?? and then the forum on the right 610 x ??.

Can you help with this?

Something like www.ubbdev.com/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi , just move the sidebar to the left? <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />
Just use a transparent image file for the title, and put a table: first tr - header, second - left td - sidebar, right - UBB

Thank you once again. This is the layout I want.

However, this only controls the display in the individual forums. Do I need to do a major hack to the coding to get this same appearance on EVERY page, from Login to Profile etc.

Nope, set your template associations to use the same style template for all pages <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

My guess is that you don't want to do that - so you'll have to add the header/footer to every style template <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/tongue.gif" alt="" />

Gentlemen,

I appreciate your input, but I do not think I have explained myself clearly.

When I initially load the login page, I wish to have the layout as described above, not just in the forums. I am familiar with changing the appearance of the individual forums. What I want is for the pages of the program OUTSIDE the forums to have the same layout as the rest of the website, as described above. In other words, where would I place the example code you gave me so that it effects the entire program instead of just the forum pages?

JC, the code you supplied works great inside the individual forums when placed in a style template, but still leaves me with the login, contact, PM, etc. pages fillng the entire screen without my header graphic or left side menu.

Sorry to be a pain, but I hope I have explained this a bit better this time.

Er, um... Did you try "Edit template associations" on the Style Templates page of your Control Panel?
