This is going to be a professional board-- I don't need gremlins, how can I get rid of them?

Also, can the wording that says,
"Sit tight, were taking you back to XXX -- "
Be changed to be more professional???

Actually, you can't get rid of the graemlins. . . You can add to them, but you can't get rid of them. . . Sorry!

To answer the other part of your question, I believe you can change that wording by using the Wordletâ„¢ feature in your Control Panel.

Well, what Kate said isn't quite true. What is true is you can't do it from the CP.

The easiest way is to just get rid of the Instant Graemlins. Leave the functionality intact, just hide them and hope no one clues in. <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

You can get rid of the Instant Graemlins by editing the relevant portions of public_new_topic_page.pl (and reply_page.pl)

You probably also want to remove them from places like the FAQ.

Granted - but remember that's considered hacking, which Infopop can't support. Should you choose to hack your board, and then request our assistance, there's a good chance we'll need to upload stock scripts (thus, removing your hacks) before we can help you.

Kate, that requires just editing the templates.

Template hacking used to be supported. Did that change?
