I am running UBB ver 5.* right now on a dedicated Linux box. I want to know what I will need to do to install the latest version of UBB and what do I need to do to make sure I can utilize the php/zlib to reduce bandwidth.

Right now my board gets about 50,000 page vies a day and transfer about 3gig a day. Will 6.* allow me to cut this down??

It should as long as your PhP is configured with zlib compression and you run the page cache. Moving from 5 to 6 will be a big switch for you and your users <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
