How do I edit my style template so that vertical Adsense ads appear to the side of my ubb?
Also, I've tried putting Adsense code in the footer section of my style template, but the ads are only picking up keywords from my footer, not the ubb. How can I make ads relevant to keywords within ubb?
Thanks.

There are a few SideBar discussions at UBBDev; it's about the onlyway to get anything to show on the right side of the board... I have it at the bottom of my forums and even there i get a nice little amount each month (for user who take the time to scroll down that is).

Thanks! I was able to create a sidebar, but the google ads still seem to be only relevant to keywords in my footer, not in the discussion board. Do I need some sort of Googlebot mod?

so long as the discussion has loaded it should take content from anything loaded before the sidebar as keywords...

Ack! It still doesn't work. I've looked all over this forum, ubbdev, webmasterworld, etc. for some answers. It sounds like requiring registration to access the forum could block the adsense-bot? If that's the problem, is there a work-around?

Check it out on my board; I have my adsense code in the footer and it works fine for me; so long as you're viewing a forum that is. http://www.undergroundnews.com/cgi-bin/ubbcgi/ultimatebb.cgi Is that about what you're seeing? Can I get a link to your forums?

I set up google ads in just one forum template for now, but like I said, you need to register to view (not just ubb registration, but community registration): http://www.igoo.com/ubb/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=18;t=000089

Your new link doesn't work; could you make a user/pass of: ubb/test so we can just login and browse to see what's going on?

Yup, that worked, next question; Are you aware you're in violation of the infopop copyright since the version and "powered by infopop" notices are non existant?

It's infopop policy to only help unmodified boards.
Yours are so modified you can't tell what version it is

Thanks for looking. I didn't know about the policies because I didn't build the site. The developer is gone so I've been trying to maintain and update the site. Looks like I have my work cut out for me.

Yeh, it's against your license policies to not have the infopop copyright contained on your board; they can actually request your host to remove the board in license violation <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> ...
