Is there a way that it can be set up so that moderators are notified of all new topics in a given forum (not all posts, just new topics created by users).

Yep, there sure is...

Go to your Control Panel > Forum Settings > Details (for the forum you want to set this up on). On that page, there is a checkbox to 'Notify Moderators of All New Posts'

They want new topics only.

I am a Web Development Contractor, I do not work for UBBCentral. I have provided free User to User Support since the beginning of these support forums.

Correct -- we just want to be alerted about new topics, rather than alerted to every post. We get hundreds, maybe thousands, of posts a day, but only a couple hundred new topics a day.

unfortunately, there's no way to be notified of new topics only... there *may* be a modification available for this, but I'm not sure - you can inquire at UBBDev. also: as always, Infopop does not support modified boards...

Yes, if you modify your board you'll have to either uninstall all of your mods and request support from infopop; or just ask at ubbdev <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" /> ...

You'll need to request a mod; please referance this topic so that they can see the conversation.
