Our discussion board has become particularly sluggish. This has occurred over the last few months. It is inconsistent, but is getting worse. It can take 20 to 60 seconds for a page to open or a post to get posted... It is not just me. Members from across Canada are experiencing it on DSL, cable and dial up. Our host, BlueGenesis, says nothing has changed at their end. Nothing has changed at our end either, that we can think of. We are running UBB.classic 6.5.0.

Anything in particular that might cause this? It is painful, and driving people away!

The board will only work as well as the server it's hosted on. Are you on a dedicated or shared plan? Slow-down could be caused by different variables, directly dealing with the server. Variables such as disk space, server memory, board usage (members, posts, overall traffic).

If we could get a demo login account so we can take a look at the size of the board, it would help us determine what may be causing the lag. Also what are your board stats (posts, members, pageviews, etc.)?
