in the 'old' control panel, admins could change users' publicly displayed names, however, this feature seems to be disabled/removed in the 'new' control panel (in ver 6.7.x). <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" /> from what i can tell, only the user themself can edit their Public Name from their profile (provided the edit setting is turned on in the registration settings).

Admins have never been able to edit PDNs via the control panel. If you had this in a previous version of your site, then you would have hacked it in. (It isn't too hard to do so.)

If you really need to change a user's PDN, you can edit their member file.

Or look for the mod at UBBDev; Ian Spence (or was it Brett) did the one I'm using.
