I have just installed UBB.classic TRIAL and it appears that everything is working correctly except one item. I can create Categories and assign Forums to them but they never actually appear. (Yes, I have saved my changes.) Is this feature disabled in the trial version or is there truly a problem?

You're seeing a side-effect of the display of categories being disabled, and the trial version being unable to submit the page on which you'd enable the display of categories. I think. Check out Display Options / General, then expand Forum Summary Options - can you submit that page?

The page you mentioned has "The controls on this page are disabled." at the top. Just for grins I tried to save the changes after I checked the Enable Categories box and it returned the message "This function is not active in the Trial Version."

So....it looks like the option has been disabled. Thanks for pointing me to a part of the CP that I hadn't seen yet. Now I know that the problem is not on the server but just a disabled option.
