Spradically getting the following message:

Can't open 'CGIPath/Mish/00000001.cgi'.

Permission was denied - please ask the administrator to check the permissions on that file/directory.

The exact error returned by the operating system is:
Permission denied

Using UBB.classic™ 6.7.1. Any ideas??

You need to set proper permissions on the file as the error message states (Usually CHMOD 777).

The permissions have been checked and are correct. The error only happens sporadically. There is no consistent pattern to when it occurs. What else could be causing this?

The UBB only returns what the Operating System tells it. If you want, you could fill out a support ticket and let Infopop Support examine your installation.
