Dont know much about rss. Im trying the ubb classic 6.7.0 rss content island option. The Rss feed shows the topic titles and who replied last and nothing more. Is there a way to have any of the post content displayed as rss or does that require some additional programming/rss-ing on my end?

Unfortunately, that isn't a behavior that the UBB can do. You might want to check over at UBBDev and see if there is a modification that allows content in the RSS.
