Is there a way to turn of the IP address logged feature so that moderators cannot view it but admins can....I looked at the manual but it was not clear what happens when it is turned off.

I believe this would need a code hack to be done as you wish, as such a code hack is out of the scope of the Infopop support forums; you should ask over at UBBDev
