I moved from a Solaris server to a Linux one and my search is broken.

If I create new topics I can search those ok.

I have reindexed to death.

After reindexing there are files in cachesearch_indexforum1index1.cgi that are 0 bytes.

Strange thing is these never existed on the old server. Same software same config.

Also on the old server I could delete the cache and it would rebuild it. Now if I delete it, it complains directory search_index is missing from cache.

Any chance of a few pointers on where to look for those of us without support options.

Everyone does. Paul, can you describe the problem you are experiencing?

Like the chap above, I Moved my server from a Raq550 to a Ensim Based server.

I followed the move guide and all looked ok, However no mater how many times i reindex the search will not go back past the date of our move. The Control Panel also reported the online since data as the move date but i have since edited a file to correct that. ( along time after giving up on re-indexing)

Our site is very customized and modded, hence the lack of support options.

Thanks

Delete your entire noncgi/cache-/search_index directory, then perform another indexing. That may do the trick.
