Posting Pictures - can it be done?

Is it possible to copy a jpg and then simply paste it into the forum? or Is creating a link the only way to post pictures?

Please advice - I am a newbie when it comes to forums.

The only way to have a jpg show up in the post body is to use the IMG tags.
