I have had a PM sent to me by one of my users that was trying to post between 12 midday and 1pm yesterday, and all she was getting was this message "UNABLE TO POST MESSAGE - HACKERS ON LINE" .

What does this mean ??? Are there hackers, please help.

Can you provide a more specific error message, or a way to duplicate this?

Not yet, I was informed by one of my users (and she is very reliable).

Why would someone want to hack a forum ?

Well, the first thing we need to do is determine whether there really are hackers or not. That's a rather cryptic message. Does she mean that she thinks a hacker was on the board? Why does she think this? Did she get an error message? What was it?

FYI.. if you do something wierd like hit the back button after deleting a post, you can get a message like this from UBB:

Hack attempt logged. You may not leave out the reply number while editing.

» Please use your browser's back button to return.

Maybe this is the message she saw?
