Hello,

we have a rather old version of ubb running at our site, its 5.54c classic.

Now we decided to upgrade to the current release of ubb.

I read in the forum it would be no problem to upgrade from 5.54 classic to 6.7 classic, but in our case we would like to upgrade to the 6.7 threads version.

Which would be the way to move the forum into the mysql database?

First upgrade from 5.45c to 6.7 classic and from there into the threads version?

And which licenses do I have to buy? First the 6.7 classic license and then the transition to threads? Or just the the threads license?

hmmm... you should be able to upgrade straight to threads if you have the old upgrade file (not sure if it's still available - check www.ubbcentral.com/downloads .

Otherwise, upgrade to classic 6.7.3 then to threads 6.5.3, following the instructions for both. If your member's area subscription has lapsed you'll probably need to purchase the one for .classic and then transfer it to threads ( I think that's possible ).

If you would like someone to do it for you, groupee does a good job, contact them. I can do it as well if you like, I've done a good number of them over the years.

The easiest is to go to the latest version of ubb.classic then go to ubb.threads.
