Restricting certain users from editing post

Can you restrict only specific users from editing post? I have a problem child and want to keep him from hacking up the board by editing posts days later, but don't want to restrict all the users that I don't have problems with. Did a search but didn't come up with anything.

Not with the stock code, no.

I had similar problems - I solved mine by using the date limit on edits (for everyone) - while a bit of a pain, my community got used to it.

In my case - 10 minutes edit with no indicator, 2 hours with indicator.

When I first implemented the 2 hour absolute limit, many complained, but within a short time (a week or so) the complaints went away as all saw the value of it. Not sure why people would need more than 2 hours anyway..
