We're trying to add a sidebar to our Classic driven forums. I've followed the thread here on adding the html to the header and footer, but the forum content is displaying under the side bar. Need somebody to advise what I'm missing in the code.

You might check your html code, there's some problems there:

Fixing those will most likely fix your issues.
