What type of coding do you need to learn to allow advertisements in UBB Classic forums? Thanks.

could be done with JavaScript, or Perl... Or through whatever means with an IFrame...

So it is possible to place advertisements within the forums?

If I were to sell advertising for the forums, does it have to be the same advertiser for every page, or can you have a different advertisement in each forum based on the topic of that forum?

The way the script works would be up to the person who coded the addon, i'm merely stating it's possible to place an ad on your forums.

I don't know what you're looking to do - and if Google will give you what you want - cool..

I turn away more than 100 paying sponsors each year - the advantage of being at the top of my categories in Google or any sort of ranking - but for the 30-40 paying sponsors I do accept for my forums, I do it very simply - a banner for each page, using very simple html / js inserts.

Take a peak at my forum - you see how I do the banners (forums grouped and multiple sponsors share the forum groups) - my revenue is based simply on what I want to get each year - which is why I limit the number of sponsors, but the limit also helps, because with the massive waiting list, I have few hassles..

I suppose you could apply different styles to your forums.

Each style has the possibilty to apply HTML inserts.

That would be very easy to do <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
