Is there a way to remove user thread subscriptions?

I only keep one forum open at a time and all other forums are archives (and closed). So I'd like to remove subscriptions from closed forums so reindex does not take for ever.

How can I removed them?

Running 6.7.3 on linux

Removing topic notifications would not speed up the notification index rebuilder. It would still need to examine each topic.

I'd still like to get rid of them.

The only way to disable email notifications would be to turn off all email features on the board, including registration confirmation. Even then, the indexer would still need to run.
