Hi,
A colleague of mine has given up on a site based on phpBB.

However, some of the topics on his old forum would be of interest to users of my site.
He's happy to pass on the data to me.

Is it possible to import two forums of phpBB info into my UBB 6.7.1 forum?

You'll need to snag the YAML file for phpBB from:
http://www.groupee.com/yaml/

And place it in your:
NonCGI/importexport

Directory, you can then import from phpBB

I've just been reading the admin manual on this point, but I'm still not entirely clear on a few things...

I haven't done this before - so before I import anything, am I at risk of corrupting my existing files or doing any sort of damage here?

If I download via the phpBBadmin interface, presumably the whole forum will be transferred not just a selectable few?

Where will the phpBB files end up?
How do they find their way to the diferently named forums on my UBB board?

I appologise in advance if these questions appear naive - but unless I've missed a section of the manual (entirely possible <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" /> ) I'm just not sure how this works.
