Just thought of a feature that would really be popular: A user definable Active Topic search.
The user could specify the length of time (within Admin limits) to search, as well as select only those forums the user want's to see. I know on a lot of large boards, with tons of forums, users typically visit only a handful of the forums of interest. By having a user definable active topic search, the user could zero in on only those areas of interest, based on their typical frequency of visit. You could even have an option to only show results since their last visit.
Add to the Active Topic pull-down a selection called "User Defined", what would play off of settings added to the user's MySpace Preferences.
Now that I think about it.. another good addition to the Active Topic pull down would be a "Since Last Visit" option.
