We just moved from one Windows platform to another. We have UBB Classic v 5.45c. Some of the environment variables are below.

After FTPing all of the current data, we have one of 9 forums where we cannot Update Threads. It looks like it rewrites all of the HTML files but then dies with various errors:

Service Unavailable
CGI error
CGI script has misbehaved and returned invalid headers

I have tried in various browsers. The ubb_test.cgi passes all tests. I tried re-FTPing the content making sure everything was ASCII not Binary but same problem. I also tried removing the HTML dir below the forum but that did not help.

Since everything else works on other forums, I do not know what to do about this one. Please advise. Thanks.

Gary

Use ubb_test to run a permission check manually on each of your ForumX directories. I'll wager that each of the ones that isn't updating has incorrect permissions...

Nice thought but I started at the top and went all the way through the HTML directory under Forum3 and all passed.

Unfortunately, that's about the end of the troubleshooting rope for such an old version. The old 5.x versions have lackluster error catching and handling routines...

You might want to open a support ticket so we can examine your board in-depth...
