UBB.threads PHP Forum Software Community Forums UBB.classic UBB.classic 5 Support Second Forum Set Up?

Please bear with me I'm new at this. I just barely have 5.47e working correctly but I want to upgrade and am afraid to do so because I dont want to disrupt my forums.

Is it possible to simply change the absolute paths to the folders to a sub folder in the cgi folder, say cgi/ubb2 or something like that, and then rename that html file from cplinks to cplinks2 or something, and set up an entirely seperate forum to work on until I get it working correctly?

Yes, although keep in mind that the second UBB MUST be only for testing and be completely private, or you will need a second license.
