I upgraded to the newest version and now it seems that I can't get a username from being a default. This used to work.
As the admin I made a change for a member and now his username and password always defaults instead of mine.

How do I stop his username/password from always returning?

Go to your board, click on preferences, then click on the clear cookies link to clear the cookies. Then shut down all your open browser windows, and if you're using IE - reboot your computer. This procedure is pretty much foolproof for clearing any UBB set cookies.

Next time you go to your board a new cookie will be set based on the userid/password you use at that time.

That is strange. Even after rebooting your computer you still have this other username auto-fill in the UBB fields?

Make sure your browser cache isn't pulling up stored pages (maybe), try clearing the cache too.

The only other thing I can suggest is manually deleting the cookie from the cookie folder on your hard drive.

If the above don't work, you're having a non-normal problem. Please try asking for help in the Post Installation Troubleshooting forum. When asking there, make sure to include the UBB version#, a link to your board, and a detailed description of what you've done so far so you don't get the same suggestions.

You didn't mention what browser you're using..

I have a hunch clearing cookies doesn't work as well as it used to. I've hacked my own board which seems to have fixed it (NAV! When are you releasing that, if you are?)

You'll probably have to open up your cookies file and remove the offending entries.

Or, you could try to overwrite them with your own details by editing your own profile! <img src="https://www.ubbcentral.com/boards/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
