UBB.threads PHP Forum Software Community Forums Thread Like Summary - Very weird problem - type google and the forum displays websearch

Even just typing the word Google or google gets converted to websearch.

I searched the entire website for the string websearch and found entries in the logs but nothing else.

To test this I created a new thread in one of the forums, the title of which was Google, and the body of which was Google test. When I posted the thread (now deleted), the title was websearch, and the body was websearch test.

I have no idea where to even begin looking for the code that is doing this. Any helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Check your censor list:
Go to
Control Panel > Primary > Censor

Do you have Censor enabled?
Do you have google listed as one of the words to be censored by websearch?
example: google=websearch

Check your Active Text list:
Go to
Control Panel > Features > Active Text

Do you have Active Text enabled?
What is the text your are searching for / replacing with from your Active Text List?
example: google|websearch
