Messages from my host keeps coming that PHP versions that my forum uses is obsolete. I am using version 7.7.5 PHP 7.4 which I believe is the highest current possible version to use.

We strongly recommend that you use a version that is still supported upstream.
If you do continue to use it, you will be susceptible to any remaining bugs or security issues.
It would be fabulous if UBB.threads PHP Forum Software could be updated to meet up to current minimum standards.
