I seem to have a problem with this island updating but not any of the other posting islands.
When I visit the page of my site the island does not seem to update until I select the details link. Then when I go back the island is updated. I have the setting at 10 minutes and I have waited well past that time limit but it seems to be just this island.
My version is 7.2.2

I have never turned on that item on any of the islands because I only use then in the forum.
My understanding is it is only needed when you place them outside of UBBThreads.

Bump.
Since then I have upgraded to 7.4.1 and I still have the same issue with the Who's online Island only.
When I visit the site I may see something populated in the island. But as far as myself or new visitors after I login it never updates unless I select the who's online header. Then go back to forum view and I see myself in the island and I even set the general options to 1 minute.
Is this a bug or something with windows/iis?

It only updates when someone accesses the who's online box or a post is made on your message board.

That kinda makes sense it seems to work better here but then a lot of traffic is going on also here in leiu of my board.
