"How long after a post has been made can it be edited by the poster?"

What do I set this to so that there is no time limit at all?

Cheers, Dodger.

Set it to a large value. For example, 87660 would be 10 years. I would be careful about using too large a value, since there might be a numeric overflow if it's larger than 2^31-1 / 3600 = (about 590000).

The current 32bit unix timestamp support ends in 2038 so leave some buffer if your going to set it way high. I'll be fishing with grandkids at that time and wont care about anything net. LoL

ok, it's a bit silly though, there should be a setting to disable it.

Cheers, Dodger.

Just Dave - don't kid yourself my man - some suit clad kid from a staffing firm is going to show up on the dock of your summer home as you row back from fishing with those grandkids with a briefcase full of money to haul you back to a terminal and code solutions to problems which had been festering up to that time..

How do I know this? Because just prior to Y2k rolled up I was working at Microsoft and we were doing oodles of it.. I was talking to staffing recruiters at the gym and these guys were hitting retirement communites, golf courses, bingo parlors, fishing holes, anything to hunt up people who could work with Cobol, Fortran, Mainframes you name it.. Skilled Unix system engineers were walking off with bank for stints as short as 6 months
