What do you use to display a line number in a script. I see lists of posts "it's in xxxxx.pl, line 167" but when I open scripts with wordpad, notepad, etc. I can't find how to display a line number.
The only way I've been able to do this in the past is by viewing the page in CuteFTP but I no longer use it.

You count ... OR you can use a text editor that displays line numbers, such as EditPad, EditPlus, UltraEdit, etc; just google '"line number" "text editor"' (search for what I have between the ''s)
