First, is it possible to get more Custom Island. I'm using them for customized stuff and advertising and I'm running out of the 10.
Second, Rick I was doing a thing in a custom island and I need to know what the active forum was, as well as other pieces of data from the "Smarty". You said that wasn't available in the current release, you could get it in a future release.

I'd think it shoudln't be too hard to add more than the 10 stock islands, should be as simple as inserting more with the same stock coding for however many you need (I believe primarily just the island file in the cache_Builders/custom directory). I'm not sure if there is a file which holds the amount though; as I'm heading out the door for my 4th wedding anniversary I don't really have the time to check right this second; but I'll give it a lookise tonight when I get home.

I'm getting a feel for where things are done and the conventions used. But it does take a lot of hunting to find things.

I've played with it on and off.
I've put a copy of a port_box_11.php in cache_builders, cache, and templates.
Can't get it to show up on the edit screens.
There must be a places that has the number of islands stored.

I thought the same actually; I tried the same and arose to the same conclusion

After looking at it more there's probably a few places that need to change to make it happen.
In the Portal Layout for example, all the "drop down" menu for positioning have to change.
I doubt it Rick will undertake such a change, it could be far reaching into the code!!
I still need a way to have more Islands.

actually, it depends on how Rick is reading them into the page... he could just have it reading all of the files in its directory, or just reading how many are presant via some config switch hidden somewhere...

It also has to go into a database so it knows when it needs to be rebuilt, if the extra custom island isn't static. I'll definitely need to code in more.

Mine are all static. They change when I edit them.
Any projection of if and when you might get to it?

I've been trying to figure out what html coding I'm supposed to use to get my Recent Topics island to look like yours. I copied the code but I don't understand the path.

I know I can go into "Active Topics" for the past 7 days and make this screen appear with lots of listed topics. But there are at least 15+ because I've been adding all sorts of instructions, etc... before opening the forums.

It's okay that all of the recent topics are mine, I just don't know how to get this to populate automatically. I made sure the cache time was "0" but still nothing appears there.

What should I be doing? Thanks.

Hate bring it up again but...
The ability to have more than 10 Custom Islands didn't make it into 7.2 and I don't see it listed for 7.3.

I still need more than ten. I've gained a little buy combining a couple but with current plans for the site, I'll be running out soon.

Any idea about it Rick?
