Each CustomVectors laptop is prepared by hand, one at a time. I personally clean, configure, inspect, and test the system before it is packaged for shipment.

I genuinely enjoy preparing these laptops and making Linux easier to get started with, especially for someone who may be trying it for the first time.

You do not need to install Linux yourself or figure out how to convert a Chromebook. Linux Mint is already installed and configured, and the laptop is tested before shipment.

This Linux Mint kit uses a genuine 64GB SanDisk Ultra Fit as the laptop's primary operating-system drive, giving Linux Mint, applications, updates, downloads, and your own files much more usable space than the Chromebook's small original internal storage alone.

Why Linux Mint? Linux Mint provides a familiar desktop layout with menus, a taskbar, file management, system settings, web browsing, and other everyday computer features. It is a great choice if you are curious about Linux but still want a traditional desktop experience that is relatively easy to become familiar with. It can be used for everyday lightweight computing, Linux learning, web browsing, email, documents, basic programming, Terminal practice, and other general tasks. Linux Mint, installed applications, updates, downloads, and normal system files run directly from this drive. I use a quality SanDisk-branded drive rather than an inexpensive generic flash drive. Its low-profile design allows it to stay installed without a large USB drive sticking far out from the side of the laptop. The SanDisk is part of the computer's normal setup and should remain plugged in while you are using the laptop. More Room for Linux & Your Files ✓ 64GB primary Linux Mint system drive for the operating system, applications, and updates ✓ More room for downloads, documents, programs, and personal files ✓ Genuine low-profile SanDisk Ultra Fit included with every laptop ✓ Original internal Chromebook storage also repurposed for additional usable space ✓ Brand-new charger included with every current laptop ✓ Linux Mint 22.3 Cinnamon installed and configured ✓ Each laptop cleaned, prepared by hand, and individually tested before shipment New to Linux? That's Completely Okay =) This kit is a good way to explore Linux without having to perform the operating-system installation and Chromebook conversion yourself. Linux Mint is already installed and tested. Once you receive the laptop, you can connect to Wi-Fi, explore the desktop, browse the web, work with files, learn the Terminal, install additional programs, and become familiar with Linux at your own pace. If something is unfamiliar or you have a basic question about the laptop or setup, you are always welcome to send me a message. What Can I Use It For? ✓ Learning Linux without installing it yourself
